What type of cameras do you use?
We currently use a PD 170 with a back up camera and will soon shoot with HD cameras, brand not yet known.
Do you edit your videos and add chapter markers?
Yes, we edit everything we shoot and add chapter markers to make viewing a pleasant experience.
Should we go with HD?
Within a few years, we will see full intergration with HD but remember how long it took to mainstream digital VCR to DVD, Tape to CD. With all new technology, compatibility will be an issue, playback may prove to be frustrating and new sharper images capture almost every imperfection. In fact, newscasters had to switch to new thicker make up. Clients will now have to own a Blu-ray player ($300+) and insure its connection via HDMI. Please note that many people have difficulty with old VCRS and DVD players. The new system will take some time before becoming common practice. We plan on introducing new packages with HD in January/February 2009. This will allow time for new systems to emerge and current issues to be resolved. Remember, most videos are shot 4:3. that's a square that fits most squared TV's. Switching to 16:9 Widescreen is an adjustment in itself since the actual footage should be shot properly at either ratios to provided the best results. All in all, HD is not a simple transition as many ambitous videographers are trying to make it out to be.
Do you wear tuxedos?
NO, at times we wear tuxedo pants and a black shirt, vest and tie, other times we wear black polo shirts or regualr dress shirts, please keep in mind we are with you all day with heavy equipment, a dry videographer is a happy videographer.
What makes your company different than all the rest?
Honestly most videographers and photographers think the same way but of course the work will vary. This type of media is very subjective and it is dependant of the company and its philosophies. Our goal is to meet clients, give them an honest overview and show realistic samples of what their wedding may look like rather than showing them a Million Dollar Platnum Wedding we all have had those but it is unrealistic to show a sample of this caliber when budget may be an issue or basically it would be apples and oranges. We keep our prices low due to our small office and low overhead, we use digital equioment and high end computers to produce the same or close too what many would overcharge for. And Lastely we hope to build a biggier company through word of mouth and by providing unbelievable services at great prices!
Do you offer Digital Books?
Not in the true sense of what digital is, a directly printed picture on page is only provided with our ecom=nomical photo Books with magazine style pages. We are now ofering flush mounted Books that some would consider digital since each page is carefully crafted with multiple photos of your affair, the pages are thick and flsuhed to the edges giving it the appeal of digital book. As of September 2008 all our books will be flush mounted and incorporated into the price.
Do you only shoot weddings?
No, we have a strong sweet sixteen clientale and offer great prices for such events. We also shoot Birthdays, communions, Baptisms, Dance recitals, documentaries, and recently Public Serivce Announcements (commercial with CandleBox for Autism Speaks) Just call us a request a sample.
Do You include Negatives or High Resolution CD's on Photo Packages?
As of Septemebr 2008 we will not sell or include negatives, or High Resolution disks. All proofs will be online to view, allowing you to order directly. Please remember that most of our packages include the shoot and Album/s only. Inquire about including prints with your package.
Should I add a second shooter?
Well yes simply because having more is better if you can afford it. Some videographers would say a second person isn't needed and I would tend to agree except or certain circumstances. If your vision of your wedding is majestic and you want to capture every moment please add it on. If you have large bridal parties, long Aisle Churches, Care to see the Groom get ready at home, etc add it on. If not you will be fine.
Payments?
We are very flexible a small deposit is required and that is dependant on the price of the total package, we prefer to paid in full before the party, you may request to leave a balance until you recieve your final video. We accept credit card through PayPal with an additonal $20 charge (negiotable) Checks and Cash available
Do you have Insurance?
Yes we a 2 million Dollar insurance policy, you may request to see it and your catering hall may request to have a copy on file, please let us know a head of time.
Do we have to feed you?
It would be appreciated.
How long before we get our video?
On the contract we ask for 3-6months maybe longer, we know some videographers some how manage to edit in 24hrs but please be aware that we custom edit everyone, no two videos are alike, since you have input with music, titles, animation, etc through our forms link. We do our best to expediate your video but keep in mind that the time starts when we recieve your photos, or information online not after the wedding.
What is your "Pre-Party" Sweet 16 photoshoot?
This is a unique option I borrowed from my friend Steve. In this day in age we know that sweet sixteen girls are now influenced from popualr shows with the goal to out do one another. "The Pre-Pictures" option allows us to photograph the sweet sixteen girl weeks prior to the affair in her Gown. The pro's to this option are many such as shooting on a warm sunny day which will insure great photos, second photos taken in her gown can be used for the signing board which will surprise many guests, Third these early pictures can be shown on plasma screens before her entrance, and last thiese great pictures can be combined with her photo Book. The cons are getting the dress dirty if not careful, time and energy, and drastic changes of the Sweet 16 girl prior to her party. All in al it is a unique option that many photographers are not investing their energies into. And yes we can alwasy opt to shoot earlier the day off.
What exactely is the Video Invitation and DVD "Thank You"
This is yet another unique option that raises the bar, rather than having to mail a cardstock invitation you can send a dvd with your child personally inviting the guest, this feature also includes a mini photo montage and text information about RSVP. The DVD "Thank You" is actually the most popular and replaces the traditional thank you card, since we started our company "recapping" events (highlights) we can offer the same thing with your sweet sixteen, after an on camera thank you the dvd proceeds to showcase the highlights of the party, pre party, entrance, dances, candle lighters, cake, dancing, and possibel photo slide (if photography is booked along with the video). Please call for more information or samples.
